D&D London present a modern Italian restaurant at Battersea Power Station.
Translating from the Italian to ‘river’, Fiume focuses on the food of the rugged Amalfi Coast. A glass-fronted facade gives expansive views of the river, while an outdoors terrace is filled with rosemary, lavender, and lemon and olive trees planted in rustic terracotta pots. Throughout the summer, the terrace fills with alfresco diners enjoying the sunshine while in the winter, heaters and blankets keep out the chill.
The vibrant, colourful food of the Amalfi coast is showcased through a menu of changing dishes with a focus on grilled seafood and fresh pasta, handmade daily. There’s cicchetti and antipasti that makes the most of both British produce and Italian ingredients, such as fritto misto. Next, there’s pinsa, a thin Roman-style pizza with toppings such as wild mushroom and truffle. For primi, there’s a choice of hand-rolled pastas drawing on southern Italy’s strong seafood traditions, such as Amalfi lemon taglioni; and spaghetti chitarra, blue lobster.
The wine list has a strong Italian focus with bottles sourced from the sunny Southern coast. Light, spritzy cocktails made with Italian liqueurs are best enjoyed on the sun-soaked terrace, while in the winter, there are short, strong classics such as negronis.
All the way from southern Italy to southern London, their cooking is the finest Italian food to feast on South of the River!
