Arches Lane Theatre, situated in the vibrant heart of Battersea Power Station’s Circus West Village!
Arches Lane Theatre brings the community the best plays, musicals, and play festivals from around London and the world to entertain, uplift, and stimulate conversations.
A night at Arches Lane Theatre will be a fun night out for friends and family where we people can connect and create memories together.
On the upcoming closure of Arches Lane Theatre, a Battersea Power Station spokesperson said:
“We have valued working with Arches Lane Theatre since they opened in early 2025 and recognise the important role independent cultural venues play in bringing long-lasting creativity and community life to destinations such as Battersea Power Station. Throughout our partnership, we have supported the theatre in a number of ways, including providing financial assistance, on-the-ground operational support, and PR and marketing activity. This is not a Section 106 planning obligation, it is something we have chosen to do.
As the current lease comes to an end, we have invited the theatre’s founders to continue operating the venue rent-free until the end of 2026. We have also offered to introduce them to other local venues to explore future opportunities and we will continue to support Arches Lane Theatre with PR and marketing activity as they promote their remaining productions.
Culture and community remain central to our vision for Battersea Power Station as we grow the regenerated riverside neighbourhood to deliver lasting social value. Earlier this year, we were proud to partner with Wandsworth Council to host the London Borough of Culture Finale, and as part of our agreed lease with Arches Lane Theatre, we were able to grant free access to the venue for the event’s participants. This provision for free community use of the space will continue once the new operator takes over the venue.”
