El Pastor is a critically acclaimed, lively Mexican restaurant with heirloom tortillas made in-house daily and a delicious weekend brunch!
Inspired by the decade its founders spent running a cult nightclub in Mexico City in the 90s and 00s, El Pastor Battersea is part of a small group of Mexican restaurants.
Occupying a prime position near the river, close to the north entrance to the Grade II* listed Power Station, the restaurant has 90 covers inside, a lively drinks-led standing bar area for 20, a 26-cover Mexican greenhouse-inspired private dining room. There is also a riverside covered terrace, open all year round, which seats 60.
El Pastor’s design takes cues from Mexico, but particularly the industrial, urban materiality and colour of Mexico City, which sits side by side with a mix of temperate and tropical trees and plants. On the menu are El Pastor classics such as tuna tostadas, al pastor tacos and signature sharing dishes such as Galician ex-dairy ribeye with unlimited warm tortillas. Weekend brunch, exclusive to EL Pastor Battersea, sees dishes such as huevos rancheros and the chorizo macha roll accompanied by breakfast margaritas.
