London’s biggest South East Asian festival, ‘celebrASIA’, returns to Battersea Power Station from 5^th – 7^th September 2025 following a highly successful first year.

With food from world renowned chefs, an Artisan Market, live music, dance performances and arts and craft sessions, celebrASIA will offer something for everyone.

Brand new for the 2025 festival is a Feasting Tent with takeovers from APOY’s Budgie Montoya, Mambow’s Abby Lee and AngloThai’s John and Desiree Chantarasak.

Malaysian chef, Mandy Yin, returns as a festival ambassador, joined by British Malaysian breaker Sunni Brummitt aka B-Boy Sunni, Singaporean fashion designer Oniatta Effendi, and Vietnamese-American broadcaster William Lee Adams.

Visitors to Battersea Power Station between 5^th – 7^th September 2025 will be transported to the vibrant streets of South East Asia at ‘celebrASIA’, a one-of-a-kind, free-to-enter festival returning to the riverside neighbourhood.

Following a highly successful inaugural event last year, Battersea Power Station and the High Commissions and Embassies of the 10 member countries of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) in London are once again working together to showcase the very best of the region at this year’s celebrASIA.

They will be supported by the festival’s ambassadors, with the lineup growing for 2025. Renowned Malaysian chef, food writer and founder of award-winning Sambal Shiok Laksa Bar in London, Mandy Yin, will resume her role this year and will be joined by Singaporean fashion designer and founder of Baju by Oniatta, Oniatta Effendi, Vietnamese-American broadcaster, William Lee Adams, and British-Malaysian Sunni Brummitt, known professionally as B-Boy Sunni, the first breaker to ever represent Team GB as part of the Paris 2024 Olympics qualification journey.

celebrASIA will be held both inside and around the iconic Grade II* listed Power Station, which has strong links to the South East Asian region through the development’s Malaysian owners. Colourful decorations will transform the riverside neighbourhood including a traditional kite showcase on Electric Boulevard and hundreds of lanterns hanging under Grosvenor Bridge, giving a flavour of what visitors can expect on arrival.

A Tour of South East Asian Cuisine

Twenty nine of London’s finest South East Asian chefs, street food pop-ups and eateries are coming to Battersea Power Station for celebrASIA 2025 including: Chick ‘n’ Sours who are partnering with Mandy Yin’s Sambal Shiok for a second year to bring back the celebrASIA-exclusive chicken satay burger, plus Malaysia’s Eat Lah and Sueperlicious, Philippines Kasa & Kin, Singapore’s Old Chang Kee, Vietnam’s Nha Trang Kitchen, Thailand’s Khanom Krok, a Tarsier Gin x El Pinoy spirits and slushies bar and Singha Beer Bus, to name just a few.

A major new addition to celebrASIA 2025 is the Feasting Tent, offering elevated long table dining experiences along the River Thames. Visitors can expect a four-course menu cooked over fire and designed to be shared, by some of London’s best South East Asian chefs including Budgie Montaya from Filipino pop-ups APOY/Sarap (Friday), Abby Lee from Malaysian hot spot Mambow (Saturday) and John & Desiree Chantarasak from London’s only Michelin star Thai restaurant, AngloThai (Sunday). Tickets are limited and set to go on sale soon.

Artisan Market

The Power Station’s historic Turbine Halls will host more than 30 independent traders at the Artisan Market with everything from authentic snacks, sauces and spices to accessories, jewellery and homewares, including clothing from festival ambassador Oniatta Effendi’s brand Baju by Oniatta.

Art & Culture

In the year Wandsworth has been named the London Borough of Culture, celebrASIA will feature even more cultural experiences for visitors to enjoy. These include bookable home decoration masterclasses using the Malaysian art of Batik, as well as beadwork and basketry sessions from Sarawak, and Royal Selangor’s School of Hard Knocks where visitors can craft a personalised pewter dish with master craftsmen travelling to London especially for the festival. Other children’s craft sessions include Shadow Puppet creation and storytelling, tile decorating and lantern making.

Malaysia Square will host the South East Asian Games with childhood games from different countries, including Malaysian ‘Tuju Selipar’ (shoe throwing), Filipino ‘Tumbang preso’ (tin can throwing), Vietnamese ‘Meo Duoi Chuot’ (cat and mouse) and many more. Bringing energy and flair, celebrASIA ambassador B-Boy Sunni, will also host a Breaking Masterclass for 8 – 16 year olds in Malaysia Square on Saturday 6^th September.

Live Entertainment

Festivalgoers can watch traditional live music and dance performances on the main stage in Power Station Park hosted by William Lee Adams. There will be performances from the Indonesian Angklung Orchestra, the Lahing Kayumanggi dance troupe from the Philippines, the Battersea Power Station Community Choir and traditional dances, including performers flying in from Thailand and Malaysia’s Sarawak state to be at the event.

Grand Tour

Mini explorers can learn about the South East Asian countries through the interactive ‘Grand Tour’ discovering information boards dotted around the Power Station and a fun quiz, ending their journey at an ‘Arrivals Desk’, where they will get their souvenir passport stamped.
