Join Ying, founder of Batik Ying, for a hands-on batik painting experience in the heart of one of London’s most iconic landmarks. In just one hour, you’ll discover the ancient Malaysian art of batik and leave with a stunning 20cm hand-painted batik artwork, made entirely by you.
No experience needed. No mess to worry about. Just colour, craft, and the quiet joy of making something with your own hands.
What to expect:
– Introduction to batik, how it is made, and the tools & materials needed for batik canting
– Experiment with mixing colours to produce the right tone and shade
– Batik painting on a pre-wax batik, guided by YING
– All materials and tools provided
– Make a meaningful and personal artwork that reflects your style. You’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece that could be displayed in your home or given as a thoughtful gift.
