A Station of Stories

Battersea Power Station has launched A Station of Stories, a new year-long celebration of storytelling that brings books, creativity and imagination to life across the riverside neighbourhood in celebration of 2026 being the National Year of Reading.

Across the year, Battersea Power Station will host a series of literary moments designed to turn the iconic landmark into a destination for story lovers of all ages. From playful family experiences to ticketed cultural events, A Station of Stories invites visitors to slow down, get creative and rediscover the joy of a good book.

Plus, Battersea Power Station’s cultural spaces and retailers will continue to bring A Station of Stories to life throughout the year including:

Horrible Histories Live At The Museum
An Unforgettable Family Experience is coming to Ramses & the Pharaoh’s Gold: The Exhibition. For six weeks only from 27th July at Neon at Battersea Power Station, Horrible Histories is taking over the museum! Take a terrible tour of priceless Egyptian artefacts with the great Ramses himself, to enjoying a laugh-out-loud live performance packed with audience participation, including the infamous Mummy Rap.

Waterstones Battersea Power Station Book Club
Don't miss Waterstones inaugural Battersea Power Station book club meeting on Tuesday 28th July from 7pm, where they'll be discussing Arundhati Roy's Booker Prize-winning novel 'The God of Small Things'. The book club is free to attend, and will be hosted in The Cinema at Battersea Power Station lounge bar.

Treasure Island at Arches Lane Theatre

Moleskine Reader's Corner: Leave Your Mark
Until September 2026, Moleskine will run an ongoing in-store activation inviting book lovers to share reviews of their favourite reads when visiting their store in Turbine Hall A. These contributions will be collected in a dedicated Moleskine Book Journal, where participants can use the stationery available in-store to write, draw, and creatively decorate their reflections
