Battersea General Store Opens at Circus West Village

The first retailer has opened for business at Circus West Village. The Battersea General Store will offer a huge range of goods from all around the world, while also celebrating local craft produce.

“We are your global local store,” says owner Raj Bathia. “We are able to supply one of the widest ranges of products to be found in the capital, coupled with friendly local service. You can come in for a barista coffee, do your shopping here or have it delivered. Whether you want a freshly made sandwich from our continental deli, a fine bottle of wine or simply your weekly food shop, we have everything you need.”

The 6,500 square foot General Store will offer local delivery for residents and a wider online delivery service. It will stock many items which are unavailable elsewhere in London: there will be cookies from Nantucket, vodkas from France and Hong Kong, Japanese whiskies and a wide selection of teas from around the world.

“Should you be able to name something we haven’t got, we will do everything we can to get it for you,” promises Raj Bathia.

The Battersea General Store will soon be joined at Circus West Village by a range of other independent shops, restaurants and bars, carefully selected to form a unique combination. By the end of the year the area will have become become London’s newest food destination.
