Behind The Pass with Henrique Sa Pessoa & Tom Booton

Portugal’s two Michelin-starred chef Henrique Sá Pessoa will be hosting his second Behind The Pass collaboration dinner on Wednesday 9th October at 7pm, welcoming highly acclaimed British chef Tom Booton from The Grill by Tom Booton at The Dorchester at JOIA restaurant, on the 15th floor.

The exclusive six-course dinner is £120pp and will feature three courses designed to share from each chef, starting with Henrique’s Portuguese interpretation of popular fish styles in the United Kingdom. Dishes include tuna tartare with red cabbage and seaweed, turbot with ‘pica pau’ fish veloute and monkfish rice with tomato, chilli and coriander.

Tom’s dishes will follow, transforming his British classics with Portuguese inspiration, including squid bolognese with grated chourico, ‘All the Chicken’ with Iberian flavours, and fig leaf trifle inspired by Madeira.

JOIA Rooftop Closing Party

You’re invited to JOIA’s official rooftop closing party on Saturday 19th October!

After an amazing summer of DJs, live music and delicious drinks on the rooftop the time has sadly come for JOIA rooftop to close for winter – but they’re throwing one last party to say goodbye against the iconic backdrop of the Battersea Power Station.

Dance the night away with an exclusive DJ set from Becca Dudley, who has played major festivals City Splash and Boomtown, whilst sipping on a delicious selection of cocktails.

Tickets are £50pp, which includes 2 tokens which can be redeemed on either a sandwich from the rooftop menu and a cocktail/house drink or two drinks. Entry from 5:30pm is encouraged and Becca Dudley will be on the decks from 6pm – 10pm.

Blackout Dinner at JOIA

Ever wanted to dine by candlelight with one of London’s most beautiful views? JOIA restaurant will be hosting its second Blackout Dinner on Thursday 23rd October.

Be welcomed into the JOIA restaurant on the 15th floor and take your seat as the restaurant is plunged into complete darkness, with hundreds of candles and the unbeatable views of London’s skyline and iconic Battersea Power Station chimneys as the only source of light.

Head Chef Cristian has created a beautiful set menu for the evening costing £95pp and it includes a selection of signature JOIA petiscos and tapas to share, such as Iberico ham and Octopus carpaccio followed by the Arroz De Marisco with bomba rice, red prawns, mussels and razor clams and Duck Breast with Madeira jus.

Bonfire Night at JOIA Rooftop

For one night only on Saturday 2nd November, the JOIA Rooftop is opening back up (after closing for winter) to celebrate Bonfire Night in Battersea.

If you want to escape the Battersea firework crowds and enjoy warm cocktails, delicious sandwiches and live DJs then this is the spot to be. Enjoy the smell of bonfires and fireworks but make sure to wrap up warm and cosy!

Christmas Day at JOIA

Open from 12pm – 7pm on Wednesday 25th December, celebrate Christmas Day at JOIA Restaurant overlooking Battersea Power Station with a menu to share that captures the essence of Christmas traditions with a touch of Iberian flair with a set menu for £135pp and optional wine pairings for £45pp.

To start, enjoy a welcome glass of Telmont,Brut Reserve, Champagne and indulge on a selection of JOIA’s signature petiscos & tapas dishes including pan con tomate, seabass ceviche & beef pica pau.

For mains, choose between a selection of dishes including Norfolk black turkey served with Madeira sauce, grilled fillet of salted cod or loin of venison with fried brussels sprouts & king oyster mushrooms.

To finish, a selection of decadent & sweet delights including Torrija – a  caramelised brioche served with salted caramel ice cream.
