About this Event
Join artist Luke M Walker for a walk around Nine Elms as he explores the evolving architecture of the area. Walker’s art explores the changing nature of the city through paintings that express ideas of transition and transformation. The walk is an opportunity to explore local architecture on foot, from an artist's point of view, guided by Walker, a local resident.
Each walk will last approx. 90 mins. The meeting point is Heritage & Learning Hub, Grosvenor Arch entrance, Circus West Village, Battersea Power Station, SW8 4NN. Please arrive 15 mins before the walk starts, ready for a prompt departure at the advertised start time. Advance booking is required to guarantee a space on the walk. Any remaining places will be available to purchase on the door, subject to availability. Please dress for the outdoors and wear comfortable footwear. The route will be fully wheelchair accessible. The route will be approximately 2-3 miles, returning to the starting point.
The walk will go ahead in light rain, but may be cancelled if weather conditions make the activity unsafe. If the event is cancelled, ticket bookers will be entitled to a full refund.
This event is part Nine Elms’ London Festival of Architecture programme, supported by Wandsworth Council.
