Marinella Senatore Afterglow
Battersea Power Station is known for being the perfect selfie capturing spot in the capital, and we're having a glow up this Spring! If you're searching for the best outdoor activity, full of scenic riverside views and must see art, don’t miss Assembly, a work comprising two outdoor light installations by renowned artist Marinella Senatore, offering the first opportunity to view Afterglow, a multi-site exhibition organised by Mazzoleni, London - Torino. From 6 May to 10 June, the unique artworks will be positioned in front of the Grade II* listed Power Station, in the newly opened six-acre Power Station Park.
On Thursday 9 June at 6pm, a series of free and open to all 'public actions' - as defined by Senatore - will 'activate' the light sculpture involving over 200 performers, such as music bands, choirs, dancers, poets and athletes. Each of them shares core values as well as personal connections with the artist and The School of Narrative Dance (SOND), Senatore's renowned participatory project that counts a network of over 6.5 million participants across 23 countries.
