Boredom Busters

Running out of ideas to keep the kids entertained? Look no further! Battersea Power Station has got your back with a series of Boredom Busters that will delight and educate every household. From toddlers to teenagers, we have got a range of activities that will keep the minds active and stimulated so you are never left with a dull moment.

We also have our Heritage Trail App which is full of interesting facts for all ages, and can be enjoyed from home. There is a series of mini games for young children, take a virtual peak inside the famous Control Room A, and enjoy narrated stories of Battersea Power Station's past, present and future. Preschool

Week One

  • The Power Bridge - Can you count how many green triangles there are in our sign that welcomes people to Battersea Power Station, created by artist Morag Myerscough? You can write your answer in the box, then save the pdf and send it to us at activities@bpsdc.co.uk for us to check!
  • Join the Dots (you’ll need a printer for this one!)

 

Week Two

  • Colour Me In – This week is all about nature so we have a colouring in sheet for one of our Peregrine falcons, including a fun fact. Once complete, feel free to email to us at activities@bpsdc.co.uk for us to see! (You will need a printer for this one)

Your story should be no longer than 500 words and submitted before 5pm 10 April 2020. Please include name and age in your submission!
  • Bird Watching – do you have hawk eyes? We have put together a list of the most common birds you might see from your window. How many birds can you see? One point for every bird you can tick off, and a bonus point for any others you might find! Why not take a photo of each type, and send it to us at activities@bpsdc.co.uk? You might just get a special photo of one of our birds back…

  • Tapas Competition – are you a whizz in the kitchen? Tapa’s Brindisa are currently running an Instagram competition for some of the best home-made tapas where you could win a £100 voucher for two. For more information check out their Instagram page. Competition closes 12 April.
  • Art Competition – to continue the theme of our Peregrine Falcons we want to challenge you to your best artist impression of one. Need some inspiration? Check out these incredible YouTube tutorials to get you started:
