Battersea Roof Gardens by Foster + Partners

Design Overview

Battersea Roof Gardens forms a strongly delineated, rippling building that creates an illusion of a series of waves. The architects have created an organic and softer building to stand as a direct response to the solidity of the Power Station. The design is crisp and white with beautifully coloured metals and lots of glass.

Interior Design

The homes are styled in a subtle 1930s theme that has been adopted from the Power Station. There are two high-spec finishes available to residents – ‘Cloud’ and ‘Steam’ palette. The horizontal tiling design in the famous Turbine Hall is inspiration for the ‘Cloud’ palette, whilst ‘Steam’ draws on the colour tones inside Control Room A, with warmer gold tones and a framing detail that has been adapted to make it more contemporary.

Prospect Place by Gehry Partners

Design Overview

Prospect Place is inspired by the billowing sails of ships and anchored by the central ‘Flower’ building. The development’s distinctive and undulating façade ensures no two homes are the same. Every home comes with a winter garden or terrace to maximise light and outlook. A private residents’ garden between the buildings affords a modern take on the traditional London square.

Prospect Place by Gehry Partners

Interior Design

Gehry Partners have designed two palettes for the interiors at Prospect Place. There are the ‘LA’ and the ‘London’ options.

The ‘LA’ palette is all about adventure, excitement and breaking out of ordinary design concepts and includes features such as rough sawn wood fronted cabinets. The ‘London’ concept focuses on architecture and speaks of time, place and history.
