BXR London to Open in Battersea Power Station

Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) are thrilled to announce that BXR London will be expanding into London’s iconic Battersea Power Station in 2022. The opening within the historic walls of the Power Station itself arrives following the success of studios in London’s Marylebone and Canary Wharf. At 14,000 sq ft, it is BXR’s largest site to date. The world champion boxer Anthony Joshua is a stakeholder in the BXR business.

BXR Battersea will form part of Battersea Power Station’s highly anticipated second phase of redevelopment of the Grade II* listed building itself, launching in 2022. It will house BXR’s second members-only gym along with three Sweat by BXR pay-to-train studios and state of the art facilities.

BXR Battersea will be located in the Power Station’s Turbine Hall B, which was completed in the 1950s, and has more of a Bauhaus, industrial look and feel. The gym will offer three of Sweat by BXR’s pioneering studio concepts including the Versaclimber-based Cardio studio offering London’s most effective low-impact workout. The Strength & Conditioning studio offers classes designed to improve strength, mobility, conditioning and endurance whilst the Skills studio aims to teach and develop boxing technique during high intensity classes.

Olia Sardarova, BXR Owner and Founder called London:

“An important fitness market with energy and high performing individuals. BXR is thrilled to be opening at Battersea Power Station in one of London’s most iconic redevelopment projects.”

Sam Cotton, Deputy Head of Leasing at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) said:

“The BXR concept is unlike any other fitness brand out there. We are really looking forward to seeing what the team will do with the one-of-a-kind space inside one of the Power Station’s Turbine Halls.”

“The brands we are bringing to Battersea will provide local and out of town visitors alike the opportunity to experience the latest in health, beauty, fashion, food, wellness and beyond. The excitement is really building here, and I look forward to showing the world what we have created when the Power Station opens its doors in 2021.”
