Boom Cycle to Launch at Battersea Power Station

Lifestyle brand Boom Cycle, renowned for its high-energy, music-focused fitness experience, is to open its flagship studio at Circus West Village, the first chapter in the visionary regeneration of Battersea Power Station.
Boom Cycle joins an inspiring line-up at Circus West Village, which recently announced more new neighbourhood restaurants including Mother, an Italian pizza restaurant from Copenhagen. Visitors will also be able to try out the Wright Brothers seafood restaurant and Ben’s Canteen, an all-day hangout specialising in burgers and brunch.
The new venue will have two indoor cycling studios, each kitted out with a state-of-the-art Funktion-One sound system and top-of-the-range Schwinn bikes. The site will be focused on the Boom Cycle lifestyle with communal areas where riders will be invited to socialise, work or simply kick back and relax after classes.
Opening this summer, the gym will provide Boom Cycle’s signature 45-minute classes plus express 30-minute sessions over the lunch period with all daily rides led by expert motivators.
Since launching in 2011, Boom Cycle has taken the fitness industry by storm, resulting in a Boom’ing community emerging among the brand’s enthusiastic fans.
Rob Tincknell, CEO of the Battersea Power Station Development Company, comments:
“Having Boom Cycle join the community here at Battersea Power Station is hugely exciting, and complements the expanding line-up. Our vision is to build a thriving village destination for residents and Londoners, offering the best mix of independent retailers and lifestyle concepts, which will become a place for people to visit, be entertained and to try something new as well as live and work.”
Boom Cycle’s founders, Hilary and Robert Rowland, comment:
“We’re beyond excited to be part of the one of London’s most iconic locations. The vision that has been set out by the team at Battersea Power Station will ensure an incredible place to work, live, visit and socialise. Boom Cycle is ready to come to South West London to do what we do best, making fitness fun.”
In addition to the launch of Boom Cycle, the area is set to host an ongoing programme of cultural and family entertainment events. There will also be cafes, pop-up shops and affordable workspaces – all helping to promote creativity and nurture small, independent businesses at Battersea Power Station. This news marks another key step in the countdown to this year’s summer opening.
