Eat, Drink, Shop and Exercise near the New Us Embassy

The new Embassy of the United States in London has moved to 33 Nine Elms Lane, bringing with it more than 700 diplomatic staff and 1000 visitors a day. Battersea Power Station welcomes the Embassy staff and their visitors to the neighbourhood: we’re just a short stroll away down Nine Elms Lane, as Google reveals.

Why not drop in for lunch, or after work? Circus West, the first phase of Battersea Power Station’s redevelopment, is now open and is without exaggeration the best place to eat out or go for a drink within easy reach of the Embassy. At Circus West you will find:

Wright Brothers

The Wright Brothers started out as seafood wholesalers specialising in oysters. Nowadays they also run a small chain of London restaurants, all of which benefit hugely from the owners’ contacts in the seafood industry. Find out more.

Fiume

Fresh from his triumphs at Mayfair’s Sartoria, Francesco Mazzei brings his new restaurant Fiume (‘River’) to the riverside at Circus West, serving the Calabrian delicacies that he has made famous. Find out more.

Mother

From Copenhagen’s cool meatpacking district, Kødbyen, Mother is an Italian pizza restaurant without all the nonsense. Find out more.

No. 29 Power Station West

The Circus West Village pub, No. 29 Power Station West offers a relaxed, all-day food and drinks experience from morning coffee to night cap and everything in between. Find out more.

Vagabond

Vagabond offers over 100 wines by the glass, a range of delicious craft beers and a seasonal menu of tasty treats to accompany them. There is also a working winery on site! Find out more.

The CoffeeWorks Project

The CoffeeWorks Project is an independent family run business with a simple aim: to showcase the best quality coffee, tea and food in a friendly and relaxed environment. Find out more.

While you’re here you could also pick up anything from a rare Japanese whisky to a pint of milk at The Battersea General Store, drop in for a New York style spin session with a London twist at Boom Cycle, or look in at the Design Store for a Power Station memento.

There’s lots more to come at Circus West, and even more in the future phases of Battersea Power Station, arriving in the next few years. The new US Embassy will have a ringside seat as London’s newest and most exciting town centre appears.
