Internationally renowned, multi-Michelin starred chef and star of the small screen, Gordon Ramsay, is opening his latest Street Pizza restaurant right on his doorstep in Wandsworth. Posting a video today on his Instagram account, @gordongram, to share the exciting news, Ramsay revealed that the bottomless pizzeria will be opening at Battersea Power Station on 12th April. Nestled under the Grosvenor Bridge railway arches, Street Pizza will join over 20 restaurants, bars, shops, wellness and leisure facilities already open in Circus West Village, a vibrant riverside neighbourhood and the first chapter in the regeneration of the iconic Grade II* listed Power Station.

With £15 bottomless sourdough pizza served by the slice so diners can enjoy all of the restaurant’s signature toppings including Classic Margherita, Charred Aubergine, Pepperoni, Corn and Chorizo and a daily changing special, plus signature cocktails and craft beer from the Street Lounge Bar, it’s the perfect spot for a quick lunch, afterwork cocktail or relaxed dinner. Street Pizza is also available for takeaway with Deliveroo or for click & collect.

Gordon Ramsay said:

“London is an incredible city. From the banks of the Thames you can see some of London’s most famous buildings: the Tower of London, Houses of Parliament and of course the iconic Battersea Power Station. For many years I would travel home to South London, after a late service, crossing the river in the shadows of those huge derelict chimneys, never did I imagine one day I would open a restaurant on such a historic site and become part of such a thriving community.”

Sam Cotton, Head of Leasing at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) said:

“We’re really excited that Gordon and his Street Pizza team are joining the fantastic line up of bars, cafes and restaurants already thriving at Battersea Power Station. Circus West Village is one of London’s most unique riverside destinations with its stunning views across the Thames and the historic Power Station as a backdrop. There really is nowhere like it and we look forward to welcoming people back to enjoy some of the best outdoor terraces London has to offer from 12th April.”

Coffee-fanatics rejoiced at the beginning of December when specialist coffee chain, Black Sheep Coffee, opened their latest all-day store serving fresh coffee brews by day and delicious espresso martinis and chilled crafted beers by night. Most recently, Dental and aesthetics practice White & Co have joined the mix of retailers at Circus West Village, offering patients 25 years of excellence in dentistry.

Meanwhile, 2021 is going to be the most transformational year yet for Battersea Power Station with the first residents moving in to the Grade II* listed building this spring, the retail and office occupiers starting to fit out their spaces and the new Zone 1 London Underground Tube Station, which is part of the Northern Line Extension, launching in the autumn ahead of the Power Station opening its doors to the public next year.

Once completed, Battersea Power Station will form the centrepiece of a new ‘15-minute’ live, work and play neighbourhood, which will act as a town centre for the immediate and wider local communities, a new business quarter for the capital and an experiential destination for Londoners and international visitors. Inside the iconic Power Station there will be 253 residential apartments, over 100 retail shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as unique event spaces. Apple will also take 500,000 sq. ft of office space across six floors in the Power Station for its new London campus.

Residents and visitors to Battersea Power Station will also be able to enjoy numerous new green and open public spaces, including the new Bjarke Ingels designed Malaysia Square and the six acre Power Station Park on the river bank, which connects seamlessly to the new Linear Park running from Battersea to Vauxhall.

Travelling to Battersea Power Station couldn’t be easier with the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers River Bus – a 15-minute journey from Embankment, 20 minutes from Blackfriars, 30 minutes from Putney and 40 minutes from Canary Wharf. The destination is also easily accessible by bike, bus, car, train and tube.
