Planetarium Go! has arrived at Battersea Power Station, bringing a fully immersive 360-degree dome experience, transforming the park into a striking space where science meets storytelling. Through high-definition projection and individual headphones, visitors are transported beyond the everyday, whether that’s drifting through the Solar System or settling into a calming cosmic journey.
Alongside the short films, Planetarium Go! works with local schools, universities and cultural organisations to make space and science feel more tangible and inspiring. It’s about opening up access, sparking curiosity and creating memorable shared experiences under the dome.
Now open at Battersea Power Station until Sunday 1st March, Planetarium Go! offers a limited-time chance to experience something entirely different on the riverside.
After your tickets have been checked, you’ll be guided into the dome and invited to choose your seat. Each guest is provided with individual headphones, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience at your own pace.
As the lights dim, the dome comes to life with 360-degree projections, transporting you beyond the Power Station and into space. Over the course of 30 minutes, you can sit back, relax and enjoy a visually captivating short film designed to spark curiosity and wonder.
Whether you’re visiting with family, friends or taking some time for yourself, this unique Planetarium experience at Battersea Power Station offers a moment to pause and look up.
‘Exploring the Solar System + Ring World’ takes audiences on an adventure through space, uncovering what makes our celestial neighbours – the Moon, Venus and Mars – so unique. Travel beyond our planet, journey to a nearby star, and step outside everyday reality as this immersive short film sparks curiosity about the universe around us.
For those wanting a deeper dive, ‘From Earth to Universe’ is a compelling documentary that traces the evolution of astronomy from ancient civilisations to modern discoveries. This in-depth experience explores the foundations of astronomy and humanity’s ongoing quest to understand the cosmos.
Younger audiences can enjoy imaginative and heart-warming stories brought to life under the dome. ‘3-2-1 Liftoff!’ follows an underestimated hamster scientist on a mission to send a robot back into space. ‘Little Red Riding Hood and Her Grandmother’s Telescope’ blends storytelling with stargazing, as she learns about the North Star and journeys through the planets of the Solar System. Meanwhile, ‘The Girl Who Walked Upside Down’ invites children into a poetic world where the secrets of the Moon, tides and trees come alive.
