BATTERSEA POWER HOUSE
Battersea Power Station has selected leading events company Camm & Hooper as their partner for the unique event spaces being created inside the iconic Grade II* listed Power Station, which is due to open to the public in 2021.
Situated on the banks of the River Thames, with a new six-acre public park at its foot, the Power Station is set to become one of the most exciting new destinations in London. Its event spaces will play host to a range of activities including music gigs, cultural and art performances, fashion shows, major industry awards, brand product launches, conferences, intimate cocktail parties and large-scale hospitality functions.
The events will take place in the Generator Hall, Control Room A and a further three spaces including a terrace with expansive riverside views which, together, will be known as Battersea Power House.
THE GENERATOR HALL
Echoing the remarkable scale of Battersea Power Station, Generator Hall is the largest offering at Battersea Power House – holding up to 1,400 guests for drinks and canapés, or up to 1,000 seated for one of our bespoke dinners. With strikingly high ceilings and oceans of space, Generator Hall has everything you need to throw a large-scale event to remember, whatever the occasion. The venue’s versatile 14,500 sq ft layout means no matter your vision - exhibitions, banquets, concerts, conferences and awards shows: Generator Hall can cater to them all.
Control Room A
The original control room built in the 1930s and restored to its
original grandeur, includes numerous heritage features such as the original parquet flooring and dials that were once used to power a fifth of London's electricity. The stunning Art Deco interiors are recognisable from the many feature films in which the space has appeared, including The King's Speech and Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. It will have a capacity of 250 when fully restored - a perfect backdrop for fashion shows, weddings, dinners and receptions.
Holding up to 60 guests, Switch Room is a stone’s throw from Generator Hall and Alternator Hall. This little gem boasts original tiling, exposed brick and a beautiful curved bay window, with spectacular views along the length of the industrial 1950s Turbine Hall B. This charming space is ideal for celebrations, dinners and drinks in its own right, allowing your intimate gathering to soak up the awe-inspiring scale of the Power Station. Combine with Gilbert Scott Terrace to add al fresco cocktails to the menu.
Capable of hosting up to 500 people standing, or 250 seated for dinner, Alternator Hall is the perfect space for you whether your hosting an awards ceremony, a banquet, a conference, or a reception. Alternator Hall is a great stand-alone venue, but can also work perfectly in tandem with Generator Hall as a drinks reception or VIP area for larger capacity events.
Gilbert Scott Terrace
Holding up to 80 people and with unmatched riverfront views from the second floor, Gilbert Scott Terrace is great for stand-alone celebrations, or a fantastic addition to an event in one of Battersea Power House’s other unique spaces. The 1,900 sq ft terrace can be yours exclusively to host intimate VIP drinks on the terrace for your larger event in Generator Hall, or combine Gilbert Scott Terrace with the Switch Room to make sure your drinks reception is a hit, whatever the weather.
