Welcome to our dedicated page on the latest proposals and plans for Battersea Power Station.

The outline masterplan for the 42-acre site, designed by Raphael Viñoly, and originally consulted on in 2009, was approved by the London Borough of Wandsworth ten years ago and provides the framework for a dynamic mixed-use town centre.

The established vision is to transform the Power Station site into a new creative urban quarter for London where people can live, work, shop and play. You can find out more by downloading a copy of the Battersea Power Station PlaceBook here.

A focus of our vision is to create a vibrant mix of offices, shops, eateries and homes, alongside other uses such as hotels, cultural buildings and community spaces. We believe this has already started to be realised at Circus West Village and are excited for what is coming next.

Our experience has brought many valuable lessons, including the need for flexibility in the scale and layout of buildings as well as the amount and location of different uses. We are drawing on this experience to review the future phases of the outline masterplan to ensure the plans evolve to reflect how design, placemaking and our surrounding area has changed in the last decade.

We will be seeking to amend the future phases of the masterplan and incorporate flexibility for the location of uses, building sizes and layouts, which will ensure we can continue with to deliver the vision of a successful new town centre for Wandsworth.

Thank you to those who took part in our consultation, which included the webinar events on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th January 2021. We hope you found the events informative and useful.

The presentations included an update on our progress to date, what the future holds for our evolving masterplan and how we have responded to the challenges of COVID-19 and supported our community during this time.

You can view a recording of the webinar below:

As part of the consultation we have prepared a document summarising what has been delivered at Battersea Power Station to date and the proposed amendments to the Future Phases of the masterplan.

We are committed to working with our community and local stakeholders at all stages of the evolving masterplan, and all Future Phases will remain subject to further consultation as part of detailed Reserved Matters planning applications.

In order to ensure local residents have been informed of the proposals and opportunity to take part in the consultation, a newsletter was issued to over 8,000 households and businesses at the start of January 2020. You can view a copy of the newsletter here.

In line with Government guidance on public events and social distancing, we hosted our recent consultation online and held live events as webinars on Zoom.
