Join the Battersea Power Station Community Choir!

Battersea residents and workers are invited to join the Battersea Power Station Community Choir, a great way to get to know your neighbours and have some fun at the same time.

The choir already has an enthusiastic membership of local residents, local workers and staff from the Battersea Power Station Development Company. The music director is Sam Evans, who also directs the well-known Battersea Choral Society and who teaches at many prestigious institutions. The choir has already performed at the Southbank centre and is working towards other public appearances including this summer’s opening of Circus West Village.

At the moment the choir meets on Thursday evenings (6:30-8:00pm) in term time at the Rose community centre in Ascalon Street, SW8 4DL. Free childcare is provided and there’s no charge to join. In future some sessions will be held at the new Circus West Village Hall. New members don’t need to be able to read music and don’t need to have participated in organised singing before: complete beginners are welcome.

If you’re interested in joining the choir or would like to find out more, send an email to choir@bpsdc.co.uk.
